Privacy Policy — Túi AI
Core Principle: Túi AI is an AI assistant that runs directly on your phone. This policy explains what data is processed and where.
1. Your data stays on your device
- In this version, conversations, conversation titles, and settings are stored on your device in the app's local SQLite database. They are not sent to our servers or to any third party.
- The AI model answers directly on the device; chatting requires no network connection once a model has been downloaded.
- This version has no accounts, no sign-in, no ads, no analytics, and no tracking.
2. Network use: downloading models
When you choose to download an AI model, the app fetches the model file from the model publisher's public hosting (currently Hugging Face). That host can see your IP address and standard technical request data under its own privacy policy.
In this version, your conversations and personal details are not sent during this process. The app automatically verifies file integrity using SHA-256 after the download completes.
3. Permissions
The app declares the permissions below, all used only to download and store model files at your request:
- INTERNET & ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE: download model files when you choose to, and check network status (for example Wi-Fi vs. mobile data).
- ACCESS_WIFI_STATE & WAKE_LOCK: keep the Wi-Fi connection and the device awake while a large model file is downloading.
- FOREGROUND_SERVICE & FOREGROUND_SERVICE_DATA_SYNC: run the download as a foreground (data-sync) service so it continues when the screen is off or you switch apps.
- POST_NOTIFICATIONS: show a download-progress notification.
- The app does not request contacts, location, camera, microphone, or external storage access.
4. Storage and deletion
You have full control over your data at any time:
- Delete or rename individual conversations in the Lịch sử cuộc trò chuyện (conversation history) screen, using the Tùy chọn (options) icon.
- In Settings (Cài đặt) → Data (Dữ liệu), choose Xóa toàn bộ cuộc trò chuyện (delete all conversations, keeping settings) or Xóa toàn bộ dữ liệu ứng dụng (delete all conversations and settings). Both require a two-step confirmation.
- Remove downloaded models to reclaim storage at Settings → Quản lý mô hình (model management) → Xóa khỏi máy (remove from device). The deletion actions above do not remove model files.
- Uninstalling the app removes its data and model files from your device.
About backups: Túi AI turns off Android backup and excludes its data from both cloud backup and device-to-device transfer. Your conversations are therefore not backed up to Google Drive; conversely, after uninstalling the app or switching phones, your conversation history is not restored.
5. AI-generated content
AI models running on device can be wrong, incomplete, or inappropriate. Do not rely on Túi AI for medical, legal, financial, or safety decisions.
Each model has its own open license from its publisher (such as Apache-2.0 for Qwen and Gemma). License details are transparently displayed in the app.
6. Children
The app is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly collect any data from children.
7. Changes
If future versions add features that process data (for example cloud synchronization or accounts), we will update this policy and notify you clearly in the app before any new data is collected.
